Kirsty has studied piano for thirty years, and drum kit for over twenty years. She attended the University of Aberdeen, graduating with a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in 2008.  
In September 2009, Kirsty began studying for a Music Teaching Diploma at Aberdeen College. She completed both a Diploma in Music Teaching for drumkit through ICMA (passing with Distinction) and gained her Associate Teaching Diploma for piano from the London College of Music. She also sat and passed the ABRSM Grade 8 Theory paper. Kirsty completed the course in June 2011, gaining her Licentiate Teaching Diploma for piano from the London College of Music and passed with the equivalent of a Distinction.
 
Kirsty has been teaching for almost fifteen years, and loves getting to know her students and their families.  Kirsty's favourite composers include Philip Glass, Messiaen, and Granados. 

Kirsty is a member of the PVG Scheme, and holds a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF).
